Synchron, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Action Officer to support NAVSEA's Team Submarine at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC! We are seeking a candidate to directly support the VIRGINIA Class Program Office (PMS 450). PMS 450 oversees the design, construction and delivery of the United States' newest attack submarine. You will provide direct support to PMS 450.

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain liaison with high level staff in offices throughout NAVSEA and the greater Naval community and coordinate the resolution of issues for final Government approval.
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings and conferences for senior leaders (timing, attendees, location, logistic and security requirements, transportation, etc).
  • Coordinate agenda items, plans and speaking points for various engagements for final Government approval.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, setup conference room schedules, maintain leadership calendars, prepare correspondence, organize and handle mail, order supplies, file records, coordinate and update action items, update and develop briefs, coordinate document storage and inventory, and courier documents.
  • Coordinate travel and claim submission for senior Team Submarine personnel using the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Maintain security protocol throughout office spaces including the proper disposal of sensitive and classified material.
  • Participate and support internal and external meetings and briefings. The Contractor shall Interface between Program Office and various stakeholders and respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls, handing requests for information and data.
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquires deferring to the appropriate government POCs when difficult questions or issues arise.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a senior leader responsible for multiple aspects of administrative support (scheduling, correspondence, coordination with other Program Offices, industry interaction and coordination)
  • Minimum of seven (7) years professional related experience.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, technical or related field (or commensurate work experience).
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience supporting the US Navy or active-duty Navy experience is preferred.


Work location: Washington Navy Yard with possible telework options (less than one day per week)

Travel: not expected.
