As a Shift Supervisor with Ledcor's Mining team, you will provide frontline leadership for minesite earthworks and production activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and highquality execution throughout your shift. You'll oversee mining field crews, coordinate daily production plans, monitor output, and ensure all activities align with mine plans, operating procedures, and cost and productivity targets.

In this role, you'll be the goto leader on the ground-guiding work methods, responding to operational issues as they arise, and supporting a productive, engaged crew. You'll also foster strong working relationships with clients, mine operations, engineering groups, maintenance teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain a collaborative and solutionsfocused work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all aspects of mining and earthworks operations, ensuring compliance with mine plans, shift instructions, and company standards
  • Maintain highquality operational performance while optimizing equipment, labor, and material efficiency
  • Enforce site safety protocols that meet or exceed corporate, client, and regulatory mining requirements
  • Monitor production metrics and make realtime adjustments to meet shift targets and overall mine objectives
  • Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Hire, coach, and manage hourly minesite personnel in coordination with the Project Manager
  • Prepare and process field change orders or production adjustments with client representatives as needed
  • Lead planning meetings with Maintenance and Operations to ensure equipment readiness, fleet availability, and operational continuity
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of supervisory experience in mining or heavy earthworks operations, preferably in an active mine environment
  • Proven ability to manage production schedules and adapt to changing ground or weather conditions
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and implement practical, safe solutions
  • Effective communicator who can tailor messaging for operators, engineers, clients, and site leadership
  • Collaborative leader who builds teamwork, accountability, and a positive safety culture
  • Willingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of mining projects
Working Conditions:
  • Sitebased position
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and working in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, extreme cold)
  • Ability to work a nontraditional mining schedule that may include nights, weekends, and rotational shifts
