Primary Purpose of the Organization:
The Department of Psychology offers a B.S. degree in Psychology (with options for an online degree completion program and a Biopsychology concentration) and an M.A. degree in Psychology with Counseling and Experimental tracks.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a renewable one-year, fixed-term position at the rank of Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor scheduled to begin in Fall 2026. The primary purpose of the position will be to teach courses in the core and in major programs offered by the Department of Psychology.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology

  • Lecturer: Master's degree in Psychology with 18 Credit hours of psychology courses for the Lecturer position.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • Excellence in, enthusiasm for, and commitment to undergraduate teaching.
  • Superior communications skills - oral and written - including phone, letters, email, voicemail, videoconferencing, one-on-one, and group.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Canvas, and SharePoint.
  • Proficiency with digital publishing software/platforms, i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Professional competence and knowledge of subject matter pertinent to the specialization area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated teaching experience in statistics and research methods.
  • Record of instructing at least four psychology courses at the undergraduate level.
