Overall Purpose:

This position is a primary client liaison of our Client Data Management team within Early Warning Services Customer Implementation & Support organization. Working directly with new or existing clients, is responsible for initiating and leading client data projects such as contribution, quality, and remediation projects that may be less routine and are moderate/high complexity and/or key/top tier clients. Projects may deal with multiple datasets for all Early Warning products and services. This position will also perform monitoring, research, and analysis of client data to ensure the quality of client contributed data necessary to optimize Early Warning model and product performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides training and guidance to Client Data Contribution Analysts; provides oversight, guidance and assistance related to non-standard project or data issues; conducts quality peer reviews.
  • Works within the organization to assess operating rules and technical requirements for accuracy, updates and/or compliance issues.
  • Serves as first level escalation resource for Client Data Contribution Analysts.
  • Assists with onboarding, training, and mentoring other CIS resources.
  • Initiate projects with customers to engage necessary resources, define scope of work, task lists, and project milestone dates and timeline; manage and document multiple client data projects, cases and issues simultaneously using the Early Warning CRM tool.
  • Manages projects from beginning to end playing a key role managing discovery, definition of scope, technical requirements and specifications review, code development (client/internal), testing, production implementation. Works with customers for production validation and certification activities; schedules and coordinates implementations to production. Resolves issues promptly and effectively.
  • Meets with customers regularly to provide and obtain client status updates; reports on health and status of project to both customers and internal EWS stakeholders and escalates both internally and externally as appropriate. Ensures timely execution of projects to ensure progress against tasks and milestones according to plan and that project schedule is on track.
  • Works with client to transitions from project to business as usual operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and sustainable.
  • Collaborates closely with customers, vendors, business analysts, project managers and development project teams to fully assess data feeds and expectations.
  • Provides consultation and guidance on projects to ensure quality of client dataset contributions.
  • Assesses impacts of data contribution or quality issues that will provide insights to the urgency and steps for remediation in collaboration with customers and stakeholders. Ensures adherence to technical requirements and operating rules as it relates to contribution and ongoing quality of contributed data. Escalates non-responsive, non-performance and/or non-compliance issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and test new data transmissions, data mapping, sample and test files and code changes/development related to a client data contribution in collaboration clients and EWS internal resources. Troubleshoots issues (testing and/or production) with client or Early Warning IT partners and make any necessary code or configuration changes required to ensure contribution files meet quality standards.
  • Manages transition of data quality to data remediation projects.
  • Performs acceptance testing, validation and certification and quality assurance for customer data contribution projects.
  • Initiates audits on client's data, analyzes results and takes action by collaborating with client and facilitates solutions for production or testing issues.
  • Research root causes of problems with contributed data and leads effort to remediate the issue with the contributor.
  • Conduct assessments of data quality and integrity requiring research and analysis and working with clients to understand contribution practices and making recommendations for remediation or improvement.
  • Provides recommendations for policy/procedure/process changes and improvements to better serve our clients and improve efficiencies.
  • Assists with the development and improvements of internal processes and procedures related to customer data contribution and dimensions of data quality (timeliness, accuracy, completeness, etc).
  • Work closely with customers, vendors, business analysts, project managers and development project teams to fully assess data feeds and expectations.
  • Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained.
  • Provide input to ensure efficiencies with automated methods or tools for customer support, research and analytics.
  • Ensure department maintains compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.

A minimum of 4 years' experience in a data analytics, data quality or data management role or related experience is required.

Experience with Early Warning products, services and regulatory requirements or equivalent exposure preferably in a prior role at Early Warning or financial services employer with industry products, services, and regulatory requirements is necessary.

Experience in a client-facing or project management role with excellent written, oral and presentation skills to effectively conduct client meetings.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and concurrent deliverables while keeping client and internal partners on task for timely and successful execution and implementation.

Ability to aggregate data and make informed decisions.

Strong analytic and problem-solving skills; motivated self-learner.

Adaptable: able to prioritize and work with sense of urgency.

Ability to translate complex technical jargon into business language that can be easily consumed by all key stakeholders.

Strong PC skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Successful completion of background and drug screen is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such at Tableau Prep, SAS, R or Python and/or other programming language(s)

Experience or certification in data management platforms such as Talend or Informatica (Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), Axon, and Data quality (IDQ))

Strong knowledge of the multiple dimensions associated with data quality (timeliness, accuracy, completeness, etc).

Physical Requirements

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
