Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Arcan Lab at the Department of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to pursue research focusing on public health nutrition, including exploring the relationship between lifestyle factors, including dietary patterns (e.g. Mediterranean diet) and environmental factors on systemic inflammation and chronic disease risk. The candidate will be responsible for obtaining pilot data, analyzing secondary data, writing grant proposals and publications, developing protocols for IRB submission, and assisting in nutrition interventions, especially among special populations. The candidate is required to have a PhD with a focus either on nutrition and/or public health nutrition and must have strong analytical and writing skills; a certification of Registered Dietitian is preferred. Experience in designing and conducting nutrition interventions is strongly valued but not required. The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills and a desire to learn. This position is located at the Penn State campus in University Park, PA.
