How you will make history here...

The Supply Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Campbell Soup Company's Corporate Supply Quality Management Program. This individual partners with Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Research and Development, Business unit plants, Suppliers, Brokers, and 3rd parties to actively manage Food Safety and Quality performance of Campbells supply base. The Supply Quality manager drives an industry leading Supply Quality culture of continuous improvement with internal and external partners to deliver on our Food Safety, Quality, Customer, Consumer, and business expectations.

What you will do...

  • Leadership: Interpret, effectively communicate, and execute Supply Quality strategies, road map, objectives, and programs with cross functional and supply base partners to drive continuous improvement. Brings unique perspective to every discussion and delivers results in line with objectives.
  • Category management: Apply Food Safety and Quality management expertise on materials and processes related to a wide range of Ingredient and Packaging categories.
  • Standards Management: Effectively write, interpret, communicate, train, and enforce Campbells policies, standards, procedures, and specifications. Ensure Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality standards management to deliver world class Supply Quality program execution.
  • Risk Management: Ability to understand, interpret, and action against Food safety and Quality risk/opportunities for improvement in Supply base management. Conduct supplier risk assessments, assign supplier ratings, and perform supplier assessments and audits. Oversight of audits, specifications, nonconformances, Supplier performance metrics, Supplier Improvement Projects (SIPs), and Regulatory compliance for the supply base. Ensure business continuity in the supply chain.
  • Management of Audits: Demonstrate lead auditor skill set that includes audit planning, training auditors, performing audits, and effectively close findings by successful supplier corrective actions implementation. Use good influence and collaboration with suppliers.
  • Management of metrics/data analytics: Demonstrate strong analytical skills with attention to detail to process information, trend, problem solve and determine appropriate action planning. Use data to drive improvement of assigned supplier categories. Competent in the use of Optiva, SAP, Rizepoint, Power BI, and Tracegains among other systems and tools.
  • Management of performance: Effectively manage suppliers and material compliance delivered to our plants and business by using supplier nonconformance information, audits, and performance metrics. Conduct Food Safety Quality (FSQ) Supplier relationship management (SRMs), Supplier Improvement Projects (SIPs), and contract reviews to engage, score, and improve our supply base for our mutual benefit. Award the business correctly by approval or rejection of suppliers so the best supplier mix is delivering to our plants.
  • Management of Regulations: Apply deep understanding of food industry regulation with specific focus on those regulations (FDA, USDA, CFIA, and other agencies) that impact supplier food safety management.
  • Management of Projects: Demonstrate project management skills in roles both leading projects and as an active team member. Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective personal time management and team delegation.
  • Management of people: Strong influencing and interpersonal skills that foster team building and relationship development. Collaborative team player that lives into all the Campbell values. Cultivates internal and external partnerships to leverage best practices and technologies. Develop value added working relationships with key suppliers. Assemble and lead a team of internal experts from appropriate functional groups to solve food safety and/or quality problems or deficiencies.

What you bring to the table... (Must Have)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years Food Safety and Quality experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time depending on supplier audits, meetings, and project needs.

It would be great to have... (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in food plants, as a food industry supplier, or manager of suppliers at a CPG.
  • Certifications: ASQ, auditing, HACCP, GFSI, PCQI, Food Safety and Quality Systems, Supplier management, project management, Six sigma, and lean manufacturing.
  • Thorough knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Systems, quality auditing procedures, FDA and USDA Food Safety and Quality Regulations.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$109,500-$157,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
