St. Paul's Towers Retirement Community Pay Range: $32.00-$35.00 Summary: This position oversees and manages operations of the security department for the facility. Directs security personnel performing security services for the front porch community. Protects staff and residents from and responds to fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Maintains an effective security operation by performing the following duties. Less than 3 points meeting company driving standards to be an authorized driver of company vehicles. Competencies and skills: Essential: * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions * Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public * Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedures manuals, safety rules and maintenance instructions * Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals Nonessential: * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization Credentials: Essential: * First Aid certificate * CPR certificate * Class C California driver's license Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: * 1 year certificate from college or technical school Experience with Equivalent Qualifications: Compensation Disclaimer: The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
