THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will take on the essential responsibilities of budget coordination, serving as the primary liaison for Human Resources, managing SharePoint, and facilitating procurement processes within the division. Your role will involve the preparation of detailed financial reports tailored for division chiefs and bureau leadership, alongside the tracking, analysis, and forecasting of both the Capital Equipment Budget (CEB) and the Operating Budget.

You will be responsible for maintaining and managing various tracking spreadsheets and databases to ensure accurate financial oversight. Furthermore, you will coordinate HR-related activities, which include monitoring Employee Performance Reviews (EPR) and overseeing position descriptions, as well as managing personnel actions such as onboarding new employees and handling separations. In addition to these tasks, you will provide vital administrative support by managing departmental databases and software applications, overseeing the Intern program, organizing travel arrangements, coordinating events, and handling the management of publications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
