Vice President - (employer: Accordion Partners, LLC; job location: Dallas, TX) - Oversee and manage Accordion's clients financial reporting and operational system implementations as it relates to accounting and auditing practices. Examine financial records/tax documentation and prepare financial statements related to acquisitions, carve-outs, proposed sale transactions, and restatements. Ensure the accuracy of financial records, as well as assess and improve the financial accounting close processes which include accelerating and streamlining monthly and quarterly reporting processes. Establish and document financial and operational internal controls. Responsible for assisting in controls remediation after identifying potential areas of financial risk. Assess and design finance and accounting organizational structure, as well as assist with audit preparation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (In lieu of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept a 3-year degree from an accredited US or foreign university) and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: public accounting and auditing; assessing the impacts on financial reporting and disclosures under US GAAP and IFRS; utilizing knowledge of technical accounting including Purchase Accounting (ASC 805), Consolidation and Variable Interest Entities (ASC 810), Leases (ASC 842), and Revenue (ASC 606); preparing accounting position papers, technical memos, journal entries and disclosures; preparing and analyzing financial statements for standalone and consolidated corporate entities (balance sheets, income statements, cashflow statements and equity rollforwards); consolidating complex multi-entity structures, performing variance analysis and providing management with insights on financial performance; performing private company reporting and preparing footnotes/disclosures aligned with accounting standards; Private Equity backed clients; MS office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; and project management (i.e. leading projects from planning to execution). Position requires domestic travel up to 20% of the time.
