Please note that this position is a per diem appointment Under general supervision, the Staff Pharmacist I/II at UC San Diego Health (UCSDH) is responsible for the provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients, according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. This per diem ambulatory care pharmacist position will provide in-person and virtual clinical pharmacy services for UC San Diego Health (UCSDH) outpatients and assist current ambulatory care pharmacists with coverage for vacation, sick leave, and other potential temporary vacancies. The most likely areas of coverage needed could include, but are not limited to, anticoagulation, primary care chronic disease state management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, COPD, etc), solid organ transplant, refill clinic, and other unique specialty areas. Hiring managers will select the most ideal candidate taking into account their background, training, skills, and the needs of the Department of Pharmacy. The pharmacist in this position may also serve as a preceptor to pharmacy students and residents as assigned depending on the clinical areas covered at any given point in time. Additional responsibilities may include participation in Medical Center and Departmental committees, promotion of institution-wide medication use policies, and completion of other activities assigned at the discretion of managers and supervisors. Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at level PHARMACIST 1 PD or PHARMACIST 2 PD.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $184,997 - $184,997 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $88.60 - $88.60 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
