Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits Overview The College of Engineering at Utah State University invites communication professionals to join our marketing and public relations team. The Public Relations Specialist creates editorial and promotional content that reflects the College of Engineering's reputation as a premier organization dedicated to teaching, research, and outreach. This is a writing-intensive role that requires highly developed communication skills. The specialist frequently interviews faculty members, researchers, and students across a range of disciplines to develop information assets for news blogs, articles, marketing materials, social media, and more. Ideal candidates have excellent interpersonal and storytelling skills and can manage a consistent workload of writing tasks. The specialist works with guidance from the Marketing Director and is part of a communications team which includes a full-time graphic designer, a full-time social media producer, a full-time web developer, and student assistants. This position is located in the Dean's Office of the College of Engineering. The job is fun and dynamic, and our work environment is relaxed and inclusive. The role is full time and 100 percent on-site at the USU Logan campus with regular Monday-Friday scheduling. Remote/telework work is not available for this role as it requires consistent, in-person engagement with the campus community. Responsibilities 1. News and Information
