The Security Systems Operations Center (SSOC) Operator is responsible for monitoring and supporting SSOC operations in accordance with security standards. The SSOC Operator executes established alarm and event response workflows, ensures continuous compliance with physical security monitoring requirements, and accurately documents security-related incidents during assigned operating hours.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • SSOC Operator will monitor security systems and alarms within the SSOC during designated operating windows.
  • Execute alarm and event response procedures in accordance with policies and standard operating procedures.
  • SSOC Operator will document, track, and report security incidents, alarms, and system events in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support compliance with physical access control and monitoring requirements across the facility.
  • SSOC Operator will coordinate with Site Lead to support staffing adjustments and operational continuity as required.
  • Maintain situational awareness and immediately escalate security or operational issues in accordance with established protocols.
  • SSOC Operator will perform other duties as assigned in support of SSOC operations.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

The Security Systems Operations Center (SSOC) Operator will have the:



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and alarm monitoring platforms, with the ability to interpret system alerts and execute appropriate response actions.
  • Skill in accurately documenting security incidents, alarms, and system events in accordance with established procedures, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory or client standards.
  • Ability to clearly communicate security events, staffing needs, and operational issues to Site Leads and other stakeholders, both verbally and in written reports, to support operational continuity.
  • Ability to rapidly learn and maintain proficiency in specialized computer systems and software to support compliant, efficient operations.


Minimum/General Experience:



  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable client specific adjudication. Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in security operations, alarm monitoring, security systems monitoring, or a comparable security operations center environment.


Minimum Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent
