Position Summary

This is a high-impact, forward-looking position at the center of our enterprise technology transformation. You will serve as a key technical contributor on our ERP team, supporting both our current integration landscape and our migration to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the integration architecture of a major enterprise platform transition, bridging legacy systems and next-generation cloud capabilities.


You will work hands-on with our existing IBM ACE-based integrations while gaining deep experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, positioning yourself as a critical expert in our cloud-forward future. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise application integration solutions across legacy and cloud platforms.
  • Partner with the ERP team to support our Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) transformation - learning current IBM ACE workflows and helping migrate them to OCI.
  • Develop, administer, and maintain Application Integration solutions that enable critical business processes.
  • Support and administer J2EE Application Server platforms and the EnergyIP Meter Data Management system.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and vendors to ensure integration services are well-designed, tested, documented, and maintained to meet operational standards.
  • Provide 2nd-level proactive and reactive performance management for mission-critical systems, including real-time alert response and root-cause analysis.
  • Automate system administration tasks and develop scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a high standard of 24x7x365 service availability, participating in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Maintain host and network security, including passwords, file permissions, and security packages.
  • Cross-train teammates on new designs and document solutions
  • Provide guidance to junior team members; core responsibilities span operational and strategic focus areas.

Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Experience working w/ various EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) software packages such as IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise), MuleSoft, Tomcat, Weblogic, Active MQ, Kafka & EnergyIP Meter Data Mgmt system.
Must have significant experience with at least 7 of the following:
Administration, performance tuning and development in IBM ACE, and MuleSoft;
Administration, performance tuning in IBM MQ, Active MQ, and Kafka;
IBM MQ or IBM ACE development, including the ability to write custom WebSphere nodes;
API (Application Programming Interface) development and administration experience using IBM ACE and MuleSoft.
Administration in Tomcat, Weblogic and WebSphere Application Server on UNIX and Windows platforms;
Installation experience with IBM MQ/IBM ACE or WebSphere Application Server in a High Availability configuration;
Java or ABAP programming;
JVM tuning;
Service Oriented Architectures - SOAP, WSDL;
Restful Services using RAML or Swagger;
Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop data administration on UNIX and Windows systems;
Perl, Shell Scripting, XSLT, DataWeave, SQL programming skills.
Other:
Working knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.
Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once and work collaboratively across organizational lines.
Good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to express oneself effectively within a group and in one-to-one conversations. The ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.
Strong ability to organize information, manage tasks and use available tools to effectively contribute to a team and the organization.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform tasks independently.
Proficient in MS Office Package, including work processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.
Interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a team.
Must have favorable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud integration platforms (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, AWS Integration tools, or similar)
  • Messaging and eventing: IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka - administration and performance tuning
  • API development and administration using REST (Swagger/OpenAPI) and SOAP (WSDL) standards
  • J2EE Application Server administration - Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere on UNIX and Windows
  • Java or ABAP programming; JVM tuning
  • High Availability configuration and installation for integration middleware
  • Data and scripting: Oracle, SQL Server, Shell Scripting, XSLT, SQL
  • Restful services using RAML or Swagger


IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) or IBM MQ development experience (legacy knowledge a plus for transition support)

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
Required Certifications
Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equip, phone, multi-functioning printer & calculator. Ability to travel to & from meetings, training sessions or other busi-related events.
