What's involved in this role: The Warehouse Lead is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient end-of-production line operations and movement of product and inventory throughout warehouse and/or cooler environment. This position provides leadership for warehouse staff related to daily workflow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate inventory accounting; assisting with Monthly and Quarterly inventories.
- Possess thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and related duties, executing with excellence.
- Possess thorough knowledge of how the warehouse department and shipping & receiving operate.
- Hold mastery of all job functions in the warehousing area.
- Handle all equipment and product efficiently and safely.
- Train newer employees as appropriate.
- Proactively communicate warehouse issues involving deficiencies to members of the management team as needed.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and data entry in a timely manner.
- Consistently meet or exceed production goals.
- Schedule and or direct employees as directed by appropriately addressing workflow needs.
- Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.
- Assist Plant Manager and Human Capital with timekeeping as needed.
- Monitor open cooler storage racks and storage requirements.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
- Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Ensure that shipping and receiving schedule is accurate, delegating additional resource needs as appropriate.
- Work with Automation on proper procedures in regard to the ASRS.
- Effectively communicate production undergrade as dictated by daily records and ensure that all relevant parties are informed.
- Manage undergrade inventory on hand, and work as liaison between the facility and sales to ensure that volume moves efficiently to the customer.
- Manage the SAP tasks for the ASRS/warehouse, and delegate responsibilities as necessary.
- Match bills of lading to paper work, container numbers and seal trucks.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Safety Protocol
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Required:
- Minimum three (3) years Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse experience required.
- SAP/Automated system experience preferred.
- Sit down/Standup Forklift operation experience preferred.
- Ability to learn to move trailers on the property
Certification/Licensure Required:
- Forklift certification required.
- Reach truck and pallet jack certification required.
- Yard dog certification required.
- Drivers License with insurable driving history
