DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will serve as the lead worker within the Centralized Scheduling Office of the center's residential living area, reporting directly to the Clerical Supervisor 2. In this role, you will exercise considerable independence while performing lead work responsibilities over moderately complex clerical functions essential to facility operations. Your primary duty will be the comprehensive scheduling of staff across all three shifts for every unit within the residential living area to ensure constant full coverage. This work involves maintaining precise scheduling reports and spreadsheets for state and contracted personnel in a 24/7 environment, including the coordination of overtime, weekends, holidays, and mandatory training sessions.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- The following two shifts are available, rotating days off, with a 30-minute lunch:
- 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM (2nd Shift)
- 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM (3rd Shift)
- This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
In accordance with the seniority provisions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, this position was previously posted for seniority candidates. Since there were no seniority candidates, it is now open to all applicants.
