DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will be responsible for scheduling duties at a 24/7 facility.

Primary duties include:

  • Scheduling staff on all three shifts for each unit within the Residential Living Area to ensure that each shift has full coverage.
  • Maintaining accurate scheduling reports and spreadsheets to schedule state staff and contracted staff in a 24/7 facility for all shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hour variation options for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift:
    • 1st Shift - 8:00AM - 4:00PM; 5:00AM - 1:00PM
    • 2nd Shift - 1:00PM - 9:00PM; 3:00PM - 11:00PM
    • 3rd Shift - 9:00PM - 5:00AM; 11:00PM - 7:00AM
  • Travel: As needed
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Shift work: No
  • May change based on operational needs.
  • Multiple positions may be filled from this posting.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
