Description

In this role, you will manage nursing clinical practice and oncology care processes to ensure optimal patient outcomes and high standards of clinical practice. You will implement changes to patient workflows and operational processes to support coordinated, high-quality care. You will oversee daily clinical management and be responsible for the coordination of clinical resources to support daily care management, clinical surveillance, and workflow audits required for day-to-day operations. You will possess the ability to provide individual coaching and counseling to staff and demonstrate expert problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze and address complex clinical issues that may lack precedent or defined structure. You will provide expert clinical nursing consultation and coordinate patient care services within the clinic. Additionally, you will ensure the coordination of quality care and compliance as defined by internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accepted professional practices across the continuum of care. You will determine priorities and provide clinical direction to professional staff while monitoring compliance with nursing performance standards. You will work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing for Cancer Services, Clinical Director, Practice Managers, and key stakeholders involved in oncology care delivery. This role requires demonstrated leadership skills, including advanced communication, coaching, and conflict resolution. You will also provide clinical mentorship to charge nurses and emerging leaders to support professional growth and successful transitions across roles and positions.

Salary range: $144,400.00/year - $341,800.00/year

Qualifications

Required:

  • Masters of Nursing
  • California Registred Nursing Licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association,
    or American Red Cross
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ambulatory oncology nursing leadership
  • Expertise in patient care clinical services
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong leadership and clinical skills
  • Ability to create and maintain environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and achieve objectives
  • Skills in prioritizing
  • Ability to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate
  • Ability to inform and educate
  • Adept at using technology
  • Knowledge to manage disaster incidents, sentinel events and ability to problem solve withcritical thinking skills
Preferred:
  • OCN certification
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification
  • Knowledge of UCLA policies
  • Knowledge of UCLA, Professional, and Regulatory Standards
