Description Once the hospital claim is billed, if it is not paid by day 180, it rolls to RSI to follow up on. They will be using the client's system minimally and will either provide the RSI in house biller with next steps to fix it, or they will contact the insurance company by phone or website to see what needs to be done. They will update in the RSI system to either bill it or write it off. They expect them to get through 20-30 claims a day once they are trained. They work with 30+ payers but most are Medicaid, Carefirst BCBS, Cigna and Aetna. They may need to submit Medical Records, correct claims as well as obtain retro authorizations. It is essentially following up on the claim to find out the next step. They have billers who actually do the submissions, they just need this person to find out what needs to be done. Or if this is all showing that this is going to be on the Patient or customer, they will then be calling the person to collect from them. Job Duties: - Make outbound calls - Take incoming calls - Resolve outstanding account balances via the necessary avenues (internal system) - Properly follow up on all correspondence received - Maintain a work file of accounts - Provide customer service to all debtors, with the intent to resolve the past due amount - Skip trace for better location information on debtors - Contact and follow up with insurance when necessary for account resolution - Meet and/or exceed monthly production standards and fee goals This is going to be for their client, Children's National. So they would like anyone who has Children's experience, or Cerner, as that is the system they will be using. This role is going to also focus in on the denials, so a lot of follow up and insurance calls.
