Kahut Waste Services, a Waste Connections company, is looking for an upbeat & organized Operations Administrator to join our team in Clackamas/Canby, Oregon. Schedule is Monday - Friday Shift is 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Wage is $22.50 per hour Our Operations Administrator will be responsible for:
Maintaining driver qualification files to ensure regulatory and company compliance. Support HireRight onboarding and background screening processes. Ensure all driver and operational documentation remains accurate and up to date. Provide supplemental dispatch support during peak volumes or staffing shortages. Improve compliance oversight and reduce audit risk. Increase efficiency in onboarding and documentation management.
Essential Duties:
Accurately enter, update, and maintain data in company systems. Review data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information. Organize and store documents in digital and physical filing systems. Perform basic to intermediate calculations to support operational reporting. Prepare summary reports, dashboards, and metrics as needed. Verify calculation accuracy and ensure all reports meet required standards. Create and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and templates. Use formulas, formatting, sorting/filtering, and data validation to enhance reporting accuracy. Assist Dispatch by assigning routes to drivers. Prioritize same-day orders (from queue in staging area) to drivers, based on driver location and availability. Provide print and electronic route schedules to drivers for planned and updated orders; follow up to ensure orders have been received. Answer calls from drivers requesting pick-ups, and assign orders as appropriate. Contact customers to inform them of delays or missed pick-up; communicate revised timelines for pick-ups. Must have the ability to speak in group settings. Must attend Operations meetings in Clackamas/Canby. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2-3 years of customer service/office administration experience Pleasant demeanor over the phone and emails Excellent time management and prioritization skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Strong written and oral communication skills Critical and logical thinking skills
