Claims Adjuster - Resolve Complex Transportation Claims with Precision & Integrity
Are you a detail-driven claims professional who thrives in fast-moving transportation and logistics environments? Join The Pasha Group as a Claims Adjuster and play a critical role in protecting our customers, partners, and business through timely, fair, and well-documented claims resolution.
In this role, you'll independently manage cargo and logistics claims from intake through settlement-applying sound judgment, contractual knowledge, and negotiation skills to resolve losses efficiently while supporting strong customer relationships.
Own the Claims Lifecycle from Investigation to Resolution
You'll take full responsibility for evaluating, negotiating, and settling assigned claims within your authority.
  • Claims Evaluation & Settlement: Investigate, analyze, and resolve claims up to an independent authority limit of $5,000 in accordance with tariffs, contracts, bills of lading, and applicable regulations.
  • Liability & Loss Assessment: Fully investigate claims to determine liability, extent of loss, and appropriate valuation.
  • Negotiation & Documentation: Negotiate settlements on the best possible terms, obtain approvals when required, and ensure proper releases and financial controls are followed.
  • Timely Processing: Acknowledge, document, and process fully supported claims within required timeframes while monitoring aging and driving items to closure.
Drive Recoveries, Compliance & Financial Accuracy
Your work directly supports financial integrity and risk mitigation.
  • Subrogation & Recovery: Identify third-party liability, notify underwriters, and pursue recoveries as appropriate.
  • Financial Controls: Maintain accurate reserves, process claims-related invoices, and ensure payments comply with internal and external requirements.
  • Systems & Records: Record and maintain detailed claim data in claims management systems with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Regulatory & Contract Compliance: Ensure all claim handling complies with company policies, contracts, and regulatory obligations.
Collaborate Across the Business & Strengthen Relationships
You'll act as a trusted partner across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with operations, sales, and management teams to resolve claims and support customer relationships.
  • Vendor & Underwriter Management: Maintain productive relationships with external claims vendors, underwriters, and third parties.
  • Clear Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed of claim status and outcomes relevant to their areas of responsibility.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify trends and recommend loss prevention opportunities to reduce future exposure.
What You Bring
You combine claims expertise with strong judgment and communication skills.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of relevant claims experience, preferably in cargo or transportation environments
  • Working knowledge of specialty cargo handling (e.g., container, OHW, auto, logistics)
  • Strong understanding of applicable policies, regulations, and claims best practices
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and drive claims to resolution
  • Proficiency with claims RMIS or similar claims database software
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

Zone 3: Starting rate $55,000.00; up to $65,000.00 for highly qualified candidates
