Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Wage: $26.00-$32.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Mechanic position available at a company in Chesterfield, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Finisher Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. - Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. - Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. - Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. - Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. - Perform other duties as assigned or needed. - Adhere to company policies and procedures. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally throughout the workday. - Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record. - Must report to work prepared and at the specified scheduled times. - Performs other duties as required, directed, and assigned. Finisher Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment - 2+ years of related experience in packing machines/production machines - Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and applicable database programs. - Ability to meet deadlines. - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. - Requires effective oral and written communication skills. - Complete in-house training in general safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). - Forklift certification is required. - Requires research skills to troubleshooting problems. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. ashley.fambrough@qpsemployment.com About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
