Job Description
Primary Duties
Leads a team of supply chain professionals within the Ready for Operations phase of the project to ensure that applicable services and materials are contracted efficiently and within schedule in support of day one of the operational phase of the facility (e.g., LNG, pipelines, or other types of renewable assets). Provides day-to-day leadership to a supply chain team, promoting strong collaboration, continuous learning and a culture focused on safety, execution and results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In support of the Ready for Operations phase of the Port Arthur LNG facility, collaborates with cross functional stakeholders (e.g., operations & maintenance organization) to align requirements with contracts and master supply agreements that will meet operational requirements and schedules.
- Develops new insights into solutions that result in organizational or process improvements; promotes a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation. Manages and allocates resources to maximize efficiency to meet business requirements and objectives.
- Sets robust strategies that will ensure operational reliability, deliver cost efficiencies, quality and drive on time execution through planning, progress tracking, and clear stakeholder communication.
- Develops logistics strategies to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials and equipment across all delivery channels.
- Enhances supplier development and risk mitigation strategies to align with broader organizational objectives.
- Establishes and tracks performance metrics and supplier scorecards to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintains visibility into supply chain risks and implements proactive measures to ensure continuity of procurement activities.
- Manages key supplier relationships by conducting performance reviews, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues related to critical goods and services.
- Strengthens internal controls and promotes cost discipline through the implementation of compliance programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- Typically requires 8+ years of supply chain management experience with a strong operational focus; LNG experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Contract Management - Streamlining the creation, execution, storage or renewal of contracts, with a focus on compliance, often via software or other automated means.
- Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
- Demand Forecasting - Estimating the quantity of goods and services the organization realistically expects sell over the forecast period.
- Inventory Management - Managing overall inventory by controlling, overseeing, maintaining and storing products for sale. Ensuring proper inventory management to support all order fulfillment.
- Logistics Management - The part of the supply chain process that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption to meet customer requirements.
- Purchasing/Procurement Strategy - Refers to The governance framework and roadmap for the way the organization conducts its procurement activity and runs its procurement function.
- Regulatory Compliance - Ensuring an organization's adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes.
- Supply Chain Management - Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products.
- Supply Chain Risk Management - A systematic process for managing supply chain risk by identifying susceptibilities, vulnerabilities, and threats throughout the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies to combat those threats whether presented by the supplier, the supplies product and its subcomponents, or the supply chain (e.g., initial production, packaging, handling, storage, transport, mission operation, and disposal).
- Vendor Management - Overseeing relationships with key vendors and partner organizations that deliver products, services, and support to the business. Negotiating and managing contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are set appropriately and met on an ongoing basis.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience in negotiating complex, long term contracts and master supply agreements, including pricing structures, commercial terms, risk allocation, and performance obligations.
- Strong understanding of Ready for Operations planning and execution within large scale LNG, energy, or industrial facilities, with a focus on supply chain readiness.
- Ability to influence, work with, and form strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders to create optimal strategic procurement approaches, contracts and solutions.
Other Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel around 25% of the time to the Port Arthur LNG facility located in Port Arthur Texas, or other locations required to perform the responsibilities of the role. Possible overnight stay required.
Work Schedule
HYBRID: Work a combination of onsite and remote days each week, typically 4 days per week onsite.

$129,500.00 - $204,500.00 / year
