The Environmental Services (EVS) Department is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary hospital environment that supports patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care. EVS team members perform routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces while following established safety and infection control standards. The department operates 24/7 and plays a vital role in supporting patient satisfaction and overall hospital operations.

Job Description:

• The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establishand maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment.
• While executing the assignedtasks, the EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact mayinclude physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specificdemographics of patients served in assigned service areas.
• Responsible for ensuring timely room turnsrelated to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention.
• The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is anessential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and patient experience.

Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of Customer Service, 1-2 years of Hospitality, and/or 1-2 years of Environmental Services experience
