Job Summary: The Sr. Logistics Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing our transportation costs and financial performance. This role will utilize logistical knowledge and analytical skills to evaluate transportation data, identify cost-savings opportunities, and make strategic recommendations to enhance Revance's logistical financial efficiency. This position will play a pivotal role in optimizing our transportation operations, and ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability by evaluating transportation data, identifying trends, and making strategic recommendations to enhance supply chain management. Reporting to: Sr. Director, Logistics Location: Johnson City, TN - onsite
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Data Analytics: Analyze transportation data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement. Utilize statistical models and forecasting techniques to anticipate future transportation needs.
- Cost Analysis: Analyze transportation costs and financial performance to identify trends, variances, and cost-savings opportunities. Evaluate cost drivers and recommend strategies to optimize transportation spending.
- Financial Modeling: Through transportation invoice processing, further develop financial models (KPIs) to assess the impact of transportation initiatives and investments on overall profitability. Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate potential risks and opportunities.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of transportation budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, and provide insights into variances.
- Cost Allocation: Process logistics and distribution invoices for payment. Allocate transportation costs to relevant business units or product lines based on usage and consumption. Provide insights into cost allocation methodologies and recommend improvements.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including logistics, procurement, and warehouse teams to streamline transportation processes and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure transportation operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations, including safety standards and environmental regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree & 5+ years' directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, and/or related field.
- Proven experience in transportation analysis, logistics management, or supply chain analytics.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, including invoice processing, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, Power BI, and data visualization software.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight payment platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
