Housing Representative - Program Representative

Pay Range $25.75 - $26.55 per hour

Position Summary

As part of the Leased Housing team, the Program Representative provides information and assistance to leased housing program participants and owners concerning eligibility and program requirements, the provision of services, and benefit administration. The position maintains a client caseload and the corresponding documentation in compliance with program regulations. The position supports the mission and objectives of the Leased Housing program through the delivery of professional and knowledgeable services to the community.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities



  • Communicate with clients by telephone, email or in person to provide information about services available or to handle any concerns
  • Screen client inquiries for eligibility
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes are made to resolve client concerns:

    • Re-certifications/Lease-ups
    • Annual and interim income adjustments
    • Changes in family composition/Change of address
    • Move-outs/Transfers/Inspections


  • Maintain client caseload as well as appropriate documentation ensuring compliance with program regulations
  • Explain program requirements, regulations and procedures to applicants, participants and owners
  • Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion

Qualifications



  • HS or Equivalent
  • Familiarity with computers and data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage on-going projects concurrently
  • Proficiency in math, Microsoft Office or similar technology
  • Sensitivity to the needs of diverse, low income populations. Demonstrated ability to handle emotionally stressful situations and manage conflict
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and negation skills
  • Effective customer service, interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Desire to work with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk families and individuals


Preferred Qualifications



  • Prior related experience
  • Familiarity with housing regulations
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Khmer English/Portuguese)
  • Associate's degree
