We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Director, Quality

Play an integral role in shaping how quality is embedded across complex projects and programs at Worley. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and governance, working closely with project teams, functional leaders, and executive stakeholders to ensure quality management is not just compliant, but value-adding.

You will be responsible for setting direction, providing leadership, and enabling project teams to consistently meet corporate, contractual, and regulatory quality requirements while supporting Worley's broader objectives for safety, sustainability, and performance excellence.

Purpose of the role

The Director, Quality facilitates the development and effective implementation of Quality Management across projects and locations. This role ensures that quality planning, verification, inspection, and assurance activities are executed in alignment with corporate standards, customer expectations, and regulatory obligations. You will lead quality strategy at a senior level, enabling teams to proactively manage risk, prevent non-conformance, and continuously improve delivery outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of project and location quality management strategies that align with Worley corporate policies and contractual requirements.
  • Manage project service and product verification, inspection, and acceptance activities based on criticality assessments and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee quality planning, preventive actions, non-conformance management, corrective actions, management of change, audits, and quality reporting.
  • Provide strategic direction and governance for quality systems, processes, and tools across projects or defined business areas.
  • Act as a functional expert and trusted advisor, providing consultation and guidance to project teams and senior leaders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, construction, HSE, and project management to drive integrated delivery strategies.
  • Develop and oversee quality objectives, policies, and procedures with a 1-3 year horizon.
  • Lead and develop quality professionals, including decisions related to selection, development, performance management, and succession.
  • Communicate complex quality risks, performance trends, and improvement initiatives to executive leadership and, where required, the Board.
  • Contribute to the evolution of quality systems, processes, and tools, including the development and rollout of new approaches where needed.
