The Role:

This position will be part of our Manufacturing Engineering group, reporting into the Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering. As a Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering you will lead the development and implementation of new data systems for the Hillsboro, OR plant as well as maintain current data systems for the plant. This key role will focus on design, configuration, customization, and implementation of an MES system for the Hillsboro plant. The person will create and maintain procedures as well as provide support and training to staff members to use the system. This position will ensure that the MES meets all business and operational requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide MES implementation and administration of the new MES system.

  • Work with other divisional MES teams on an existing system/architecture to understand master data and business processes.

  • Design, configure, customize and implement MES for the Hillsboro plant.

  • Support factory operations to include, but not limited to, systems analysis, process & procedure creation, customized reports, modifications, user account management, barcode/printer management, and upkeep of systems administration tasks. Managing user requests, maintaining a validated state, processing access requests, and working with the business to troubleshoot data, analytics, and reporting issues.

  • Collaborate with management and other IT staff on business requirements to ensure adequate infrastructure support to lab systems including all upgrades to hardware and software.

  • Lead and oversee development of Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides, and other relevant documentation for the MES.

  • Manage effective data exchange between MES and all Entegris data and business systems customizing code and parsing scripts code to accommodate data exchange.

  • Develop and implement future software enhancements.

  • Provide MES training to employees

  • Strong organizing skills and be able to work on multiple tasks/projects in parallel.

What We Seek:

  • BS in a science or engineering related field. MS preferred.

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience (BS)/3 years working experience (MS) in MES-related fields.

  • Knowledge and acquaintance of MES or other sufficiently advanced manufacturing system implementation, enhancement, and administration.

  • Independent problem solver and can work with cross functional teams for MES implementation.

  • Ability to design and create MES procedures and application to enhance factory operations.

  • Can develop a project plan with limited supervision. Can coordinate activities with other groups to execute the project plan.

  • Demonstrated successful MES implementation and/or implementation of other sufficiently advanced manufacturing systems.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet client and internal demands under tight timelines.

  • Strong data driven mindset and systems thinking

  • JMP, SQL, PowerBI, Excel experience

  • SAP background and experience

  • Enthusiastic learner and continuous improvement mindset.
