Surgical Coordinator Timonium, MD Pay From: $23 Per Hour MUST: The Surgical Coordinator's experience includes but is not limited to the following: 3+ years of recent experience as a surgical coordinator in a specialty ambulatory setting Posting experience for a very high volume of practice sites Answering phone calls related to surgeries Scheduling surgical procedures Obtaining and reviewing consent forms Handling patient intake Obtaining pre-authorizations Creating pre-op orders Experience creating pre-op orders and sending to facilities and patients Provides information and updates to surgery department regarding patients' scheduled surgeries Experience making patient follow up calls post surgeries DUTIES: The Duties of the Surgical Coordinator include but are not limited to the following: Post a very high volume of surgical procedures Schedule surgical procedures Work with 30+ providers Assist patients with inquiries and paperwork Handle intake of patients Obtain and review consent forms Verify insurance Ensure all medical records are uploaded into patient's EMR files Obtain pre-authorizations Schedule procedures Create pre-op orders Call patients to schedule and set up post procedure visits Perform post op calls Provide updates to surgical department Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
