Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Communications and Training Specialist will support cybersecurity programs through the development of training content, awareness materials, communication products, and educational media. This role focuses on translating technical cybersecurity concepts into accessible, engaging, and actionable training and communication resources for diverse audiences.

This position plays a critical role in improving cybersecurity awareness, workforce education, and organizational cyber readiness through structured training development, messaging strategy, and multimedia communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cybersecurity training content, curricula, and learning materials
  • Create cybersecurity awareness campaigns and communication products
  • Translate complex cybersecurity topics into clear, accessible messaging
  • Design training modules, guides, videos, presentations, and digital learning content
  • Support development of cybersecurity education and awareness initiatives
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs and program stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy
  • Support internal and external cybersecurity communications efforts
  • Assist with training strategy, instructional design, and workforce education planning
  • Ensure training and communications align with federal standards and policies
  • Support development of media products for cybersecurity reporting and training initiatives


Required Qualifications

  • Experience in training development, communications, or instructional design
  • Ability to translate technical cybersecurity content into understandable learning materials
  • Experience developing training programs, awareness campaigns, or educational media
  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
  • Experience working with digital learning platforms and multimedia tools


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in federal cybersecurity or government IT environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and risk concepts
  • Experience supporting workforce development or cybersecurity awareness programs
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models
