Job Summary:

The Clinic Manager for the Addiction Research and Treatment Services (ARTS) Adult Outpatient Program (AOP) oversees operations at an ARTS clinic in the Metro Denver area, including the Medication Mobile Unit. This role manages substance use disorder treatment and behavioral health services for adults, provides clinical supervision to staff, and ensures effective patient assignment and care delivery. The position requires strong leadership in clinic management and clinical oversight.

This position is based on a 40-hour work week, typically 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. Typical work hours for this position are 6:00am - 2:30pm, although work may be required on afternoons, evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, or on other days based on the needs of the clinic, patients, agency, attend trainings, community events, and/or for other coverage duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning and programming for Medication-Assisted Treatment, treatment services, staff schedules, caseload distribution, and patient assignments.

  • Monitor clinic quality assurance efforts, implement quality improvement practices, and perform clinical case audits for all clinical staff.

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision for all clinic staff, including assigning caseloads, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Participate as a key member of the AOP management team to develop and implement clinic goals, service growth initiatives, and patient satisfaction improvements.

  • Ensure timely, accurate clinical documentation, productivity tracking, and reporting needed for clinic operations and regulatory compliance.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with community partners while conducting outreach and education on SUD and MAT services.

  • Maintain fiscal oversight of the clinic, including patient fees, census management, and achievement of operational benchmarks.

Work Location:

Onsite - this position is assigned to a primary clinic location to ensure its smooth day-to-day operations. This position may need to travel to the other ARTS locations and may be required to occasionally work out of a non-clinic location.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counselling, nursing, public health management, public health administration, human services, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.

  • Valid license(s) in good standing issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Licensed Marriage, and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed PhD/PsyD.

  • Four (4) years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorder/addictions treatment, and/or medication assisted treatment.

  • One (1) year of experience supervising staff.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorder/addictions treatment, and/or medication assisted treatment.

  • Two (2) or more years of experience supervising staff.

  • Experience providing or supervising substance use disorder services for special populations such as gender responsive, criminal justice, communicable diseases including HIV, medically compromised, and/or dual diagnosis patients.

  • Experience with evidence-based practices and interventions.

  • Experience as a project director or a team lead.

  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record system.

  • Experience conducting performance reviews and evaluations for staff.

Conditions of Employment:

  • The person in this position must maintain in good standing all necessary licenses, certifications, and/or accreditations required to perform all job responsibilities of the position, during their employment in this position, including, but not limited to licenses issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

  • The person in this position must possess a valid driver license to operate a regular passenger vehicle in the State of Colorado or obtain one within thirty (30) days of hire date, in good standing during their employment in this position.

  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.

  • Successfully pass a motor vehicle records check.

  • Successfully pass a fingerprint check.

  • Successfully pass a professional references check.

  • The person in this position may be subject to pre-employment, post-accident or incident or reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing per University and/or Addiction Research and Treatment Services Department Policies.

  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic and office environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn additional software programs swiftly and accurately.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $83,170 - $105,793.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
