Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol - Full Time in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location where you will patrol unarmed across assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with a customer-first approach, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor flow, assisting with directions and reinforcing facility rules and posting requirements as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance.
  • Support emergency response actions when appropriate, including notifications, area control, and coordination with site personnel and/or public responders.
  • Complete security-related reports and required documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Observe and report hazardous conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or unsecured doors and access points to the appropriate site contact.
  • Maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and de-escalate conflicts when possible while following post orders.
  • Use radio and/or telephone communications to coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal supervision regarding patrol findings, incidents, and service requests.
  • Follow all site-specific policies related to privacy and confidentiality while performing duties in patient care areas and public spaces.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
  • - Be 21+ years of age.
  • - Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • - Have customer service experience preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
