Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, communicate clearly, and document observations and/or concerns. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach, you will help keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and medical emergencies as directed by site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring doors and key access points, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in or destination.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activities in daily logs and/or electronic reporting systems according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Provide assistance with de-escalation and crowd management during peak visiting hours, shift changes, and special events, following site guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with clinical teams, administrators, law enforcement, and/or emergency services as needed to coordinate response and information sharing.
  • Support patient property and facility asset protection efforts by observing for unauthorized removal, loss prevention concerns, and policy violations, and reporting findings through the proper channels.
  • Follow post orders and Allied Universal standards, including required training, appearance guidelines, and confidentiality expectations for healthcare environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
