Job Description




As a Security Officer - Residential Gate Driver in Menifee, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a residential location, you will help manage access control by greeting residents and guests, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points and cameras, and completing routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document activity, communicate clearly with the team, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the residential community by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or credentials, and authorizing entry according to posted rules and client instructions.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and contractor logs, including issuing and recovering visitor passes and documenting entry and exit times as required.
  • Monitor gates, doors, and access control points for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized entry by following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community common areas, parking locations, amenities, and perimeter areas to help to deter policy violations and report concerns.
  • Monitor cameras and alarms when assigned, report irregularities, and escalate issues through the chain of command.
  • Assist with resident and guest questions, provide directions, and support community rules such as parking and amenity access requirements.
  • Document security-related activity, incidents, and observations in written reports, including completed checklists and shift logs.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel, property management, and/or responding authorities during incidents, providing timely updates and requested information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
