As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will monitor activity, respond to calls for assistance, complete clear reports, and communicate respectfully with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to location staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and controlled access points; verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders and site procedures.
• Control visitor processing by directing guests to designated check-in areas, assisting with sign-in requirements, and/or coordinating with location personnel for approvals.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact location authorities and/or emergency services when conditions warrant.
• Observe, document, and report suspicious behavior, security-related concerns, and/or property issues using detailed written reports and timely verbal notifications.
• Support movement control procedures as directed, such as monitoring restricted corridors, exterior sally port areas, and/or other designated secure zones in accordance with site policy.
• Operate post equipment as assigned, which may include radios, access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and/or electronic reporting tools.
• Participate in briefings, follow post orders, and complete required documentation to support consistent coverage across shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
