Responsibilities The Transportation/Patient Care Associate would have the primary responsibility to transport patients interdepartmental throughout the facility. Although our hospital is not quite the square footage of other hospitals in the system, this role would relieve nursing from having to step away from patient care. When not transporting patients, this role would function as a PCA on the inpatient unit to provide the best patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse to provide a better patient experience.
