Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Perform duties of engineering co-op assisting with capital projects

  • Work assignments will vary depending on the current priority of the facility.

  • Work can consist of project coordination, estimating of work, overseeing contractors and maintenance work for projects, troubleshooting operations, AutoCAD drawings (new and modifications), process safety management documentation (PSM), Microsoft Office use, safety training, and so on.

  • Essentially at our site the co-op student works like a site engineer, not just given a single task or assignment to work on.

  • Exposure to various equipment, instrumentation, processes, control systems and their programming, and so on.

  • These can be tuned to help the student learn about what they are most interested in.

  • Safety is the primary goal and responsibility of all on site. Work can and will only be carried out if it can be done in a safe manner.

  • The student will work with the main Microsoft Office programs, and AutoCAD.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

  • Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Accomplished computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and database experience

  • Both plants on site are food grade facilities and are kept in clean condition. There are locations and conditions that can lead to exposure to process materials, temperature extremes, and chemicals on occasion.

  • Proper personal protective equipment must be worn in areas where the slightest potential exists for exposure to dangerous chemicals or temperatures.

  • Products made are soy based and potential of airborne irritant for people sensitive to soy is a possibility.

  • 3.0 GPA or Higher

  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner
