The Role
The Senior Event Marketing Manager at Presidio is an experienced marketing professional responsible for developing, planning and executing our national event strategy of high-caliber events and experiences, for both customers and internal stakeholders, to enhance/promote the Presidio brand and support business goals.

This role works collaboratively with the entire marketing team, as well as multiple teams and departments across the company, to deliver exceptional digital and in-person event experiences. National Event programs include a large scale annual internal conference, top tier partner-led national conferences, relevant industry conferences and Executive-level customer-facing events - with a keen focus on attendee experience, business impact and ROI.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel 6-8 times/year. It will be based in any location in the United States in the Eastern, Central or Mountain Time Zones.

Responsibilities include:



  • Support and own multiple facets of the Presidio national event planning, management and execution for Presidio-led conferences, customer-facing events, and internal leadership events.
  • Focus on leading Presidio's Exec Summit series - an exclusive event experience for Presidio's top customers alongside event sponsors. The event includes a mix of content delivery, executive meetings, round table discussions, social/networking events & onsite/offsite excursions.
  • Lead established Exec Summits on the Northeast and West Coast, and successfully establish 2 more National locations with a total of 4 events in the series by 2025.
  • Help build out a forward-looking Event strategy that focuses on amplifying the Presidio brand, utilizing your experience in the event planning process to create a best-in-class experience for our customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage event budgets and work with Sponsorship Marketing lead to keep funding on track and ensure ROI on partner sponsorships.
  • Prioritize multiple event workstreams while simultaneously meeting deadlines with a constant focus on multi-tasking.
  • Assist in vetting technologies to help streamline event management and improve attendee experience.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, external vendors/stakeholders and Partners to drive successful event creation.
  • Event types may include in person, hybrid, and virtual.


Required Skills and Professional Experience



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 7+ years event management experience
  • Experience in event marketing
  • Creative approach when planning events including creating mood boards and working with Presidio's Creative Director to bring branding and event concepts to life
  • Existing industry knowledge in areas such as vender pricing, audio visual technology, & creating floor plans and event logistics documents.
  • Proficient in MS office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Extremely strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
  • A self-starter mindset, willing to pick up new skills, and is never satisfied with status-quo
  • Confidence, decisiveness, and proactive approach to personal workload.
  • Leadership to set a plan, help peers succeed, and hold teammates accountable.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Independent and self-motivated, able to prioritize workloads and seek guidance when needed
  • Creativity and resourcefulness with a positive team player attitude
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 6-8 times per year)


Preferred Skills and Professional Experience



  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Conference platforms and Event Management systems (Cvent, Assana, Plannuh, Zerista)
  • Experience in the technology industry
