Job Description




As a Security Officer - Clinic Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to clinical staff and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe conditions.
  • Control access at designated entry points by screening visitors per site procedures, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other security-related systems, report irregular activity, and document observations per site requirements.
  • Assist with de-escalation and disturbance response by using customer service skills, requesting support when needed, and documenting outcomes.
  • Complete routine security-related reports including incident reports, shift logs, and/or activity reports with accurate details and timely submission.
  • Coordinate with facility leadership, nursing units, and/or local responders during drills, codes, and incident response, following site-specific communication protocols.
  • Perform rounds of patient care areas, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to check for unsecured doors, restricted access concerns, and/or unusual activity, reporting findings to management.
  • Support property protection by observing for theft, damage, and/or policy violations, and reporting concerns through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have Security Experience - 6+ Months.
  • Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
