The Opportunity

We are seeking a veteran Product Designer to spearhead a critical two-phase digital transformation. Initially, you will act as the principal architect for a core Enterprise Design System, consolidating multiple fragmented legacy systems into a unified, scalable source of truth.

Following the system's foundation, you will transition into a lead role driving a comprehensive website redesign, picking up from an external agency to execute a modern, user-centric experience across web and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Design System Architecture (Months 1-8)

  • System Consolidation: Conduct an exhaustive audit of existing UI kits and fragmented systems to identify redundancies and establish a core enterprise library.
  • Atomic Design Implementation: Build a scalable Figma library using Atomic Design principles, ensuring components are modular and future-proof.
  • Design Token Strategy: Define and manage design tokens (typography, color, spacing, etc.) to ensure a seamless transition between design and code.
  • Governance & Documentation: Author clear usage guidelines and accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure the system is usable for all product teams.

Phase 2: Web & Mobile Redesign (Months 8-12)

  • Agency Handoff: Take ownership of high-level creative concepts from an external agency, deconstructing them into functional, system-compliant layouts.
  • Large-Scale Execution: Lead the end-to-end redesign of the enterprise's primary web properties and mobile applications.
  • Agile Collaboration: Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and a smooth developer handoff.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Expertise: 8-10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a heavy focus on Design Systems for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Methodology: A mastery of Atomic Design and a "systems-first" mindset. You understand how to build a library that scales across thousands of pages.
  • Tooling: Expert-level proficiency in Figma (variables, auto-layout, component properties) and FigJam.
  • Mindset: A natural problem-solver and team player who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and lead with technical authority.
  • Portfolio: Must demonstrate the "why" behind your work. We are looking for detailed case studies that show your process, system documentation, and how you solve complex architectural challenges.

Schedule

  • Hybrid: Monday - Thursday in-office / Friday remote.
  • Collaborative, Agile environment with weekly syncs and design reviews.
