Material Prep Operator Pay: $18-$20/hr (Based on experience) Shift:1st, (5:30 AM - 2:00 PM) We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Prep Operator to support production by cutting and preparing raw plastic materials. This role ensures timely and accurate supply of material blanks and components in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume plastics manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate saws (band saw, circular saw, etc.) to cut materials to specified sizes Set up and operate punch presses for blanking, hole punching, or notching Inspect raw materials and finished blanks for quality and accuracy Maintain records of material usage and production quantities Follow safety protocols when using cutting and punching equipment Stage, sort, and transport cut parts to machining or assembly areas Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on equipment Support changeovers and quick setups for frequent job changes Report equipment or material issues to supervisors Qualifications: Experience in plastics manufacturing or high-mix, low-volume production Prior experience with saws, punch presses, or similar equipment Familiarity with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic troubleshooting Knowledge of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) Ability to read work orders, cut lists, and basic drawings
