Software Engineer

Location:

This position is responsible for executing against the strategic projects for enhancing the capabilities of the Commercial Lending business. This individual works closely with the line of business and technology colleagues to assist in the development, implementation,assessment, and support of one or more environments, applications, or platforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develops clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned.
• Actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
• Provide mentorship and training for Junior engineers.
• Demonstrates active learning regarding industry trends regarding banking and technology.
• Learns and follows information security standards when developing code.
• Assists in testing and evaluating new and emerging technologies during the selection process
• Utilizes technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts when developing code
• Embraces and follows established standards and best practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in business or technology related major or equivalent work experience
• Owns the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases, SQL programming logic and reporting
• Understanding of following languages (.Net, C# , SQL - Oracle)
• Capable of effectively handling multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial lending support one or more areas of the loan lifecycle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills that can explain technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Basic understanding of Agile software development methodology
• Experience working on geographically diverse teams.
• Experience with JIRA and Git lab
• Cloud architecture
• Strong understanding of (.Net, ASP.NET , MVC , SQL - Oracle , C#)

Education

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• OR equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience (preferred)

Physical Demands

• General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
