Serves as an instructor for New Equipment Training (NET) Programs for Materiel Fielding and Training (MF&T) and the TACOM LCMC. Provides the initial transfer of knowledge on various new or displaced equipment to members of the United States Armed Forces.

Essential Job Functions:

Deliver operator and maintainer training on a system or series of systems.

Trains in classroom or motor pool environments using digital training products and hands on training
as needed

Operate independently as an instructor who may be the only subject matter
expert delivering training at a given time.

Performs with oversight from senior instructors, team lead and supervisor for input to performance and methods.

Assists or train junior instructors on assigned systems.

Provides overall maintenance of their assigned courses and determines the need for and initiate changes/updates in course content.

Responsible for training management such as setting up a classroom or training area, coordinating tools that are needed, track student attendance and participation and track student records.

Responsible for maintaining system expertise and research changes in technical manuals, procedures, regulations, modifications or any changes that will impact on training materials or
methods.

Assists in training development as a subject matter expert making recommendations on training methods, aids, hands-on exercises, classroom instructions and test/evaluation of students.

Provides input to or assists in developing training products with oversight from senior instructor, team lead or supervisor.
Coordinates as needed with external personnel on training related matters.

Coordinate or interact with customers at a training location.

Interface with contractor or program management office as required.

Participate in planning and coordination meetings with customers.

Perform or assist in the fielding of new or modified equipment which may consist of de-processing, staging, inventory accountability and packaging.

Required Skills:

Proficient as a system subject matter expert to train and troubleshoot systems as needed.

When required will go on Temporary Duty (TDY) or deploy to areas of operation around the world in both peacetime and hostile circumstances.

When required will comply with all medical requirements related to physicals, vaccinations, and any other country or area of operation requirement.

Maintain health and fitness to perform all requirements of the job for any area of operation you are required to work in.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a civilian driver's license.

May be required obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

May be required to participate in hazardous material training.

May be required to handle Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (POL).

May be required to wear safety equipment to include but not limited to hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes, and other equipment as required by supported systems when performing fielding or training events.

Required to work in adverse conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and snow.

May be required to lift up to 50lbs.

May be required to climb up on and enter vehicles and instruct in confined spaces.

May be required to work in loud environments to include but not limited to motor pool, weapons live fire, and explosive ordnance.

May be required annually to pass a deployment physical to maintain deployable status.
Failure to pass the physical may result in separation from the position.

The position may also require random drug testing.

Initial instructor certification required with recertification required every 5 years after the initial.

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:

Previous New Equipment Training (NET) Programs for Materiel Fielding and Training (MF&T) experience desired.
