Backend Engineer - Infrastructure & DevOps

We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer to join our Infrastructure & DevOps team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the backbone of our scalable cloud environments, developer productivity applications, and CI/CD systems. Your work will directly support engineering productivity and system reliability across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop internal software and applications using Java, JavaScript, Python, and Shell.
• Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment across a distributed development organization.
• Support engineering workflows and release automation.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, ensuring consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage services in Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, supporting scalability and high availability across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment workflows, monitor systems, and respond to incidents.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of software development experience in production environments.
• Deep understanding of Docker image-building, containerization, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with contemporary build tools and systems.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools is a plus.
• Passion for clean, maintainable code, with a strong emphasis on automation and developer enablement.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with major cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
