Solution Architect - (Networks) Arlington / Crystal City, VA Pay From: $150,000 per year MUST: Experiences Network Architect Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility 10+ years of progressive IT Networking engineering, architecture / design work in the DoD or Federal space 5+ years of progressive network architecture experience in DoD environment Extremely knowledgeable and proven hands-on experience with cloud platforms Azure and AWS Hands on experience with Cloud Security standards RMF to include DoD IL5/IL6 Experienced with on prem, cloud and hybrid network environments Strong CISCO focused Strong background in IT service delivery, network enterprise systems, and infrastructure to include : security, data center, mobility, and unified comms Expert knowledge of DoDAF views, artifacts, and compliance requirements Thorough understanding of security design and procedures to include STIGs, RMF and NIST800.53 Experience with Secure-by-Design and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Able to explain technical information to senior leadership and stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills High attention to details Strong problem-solving skills and highly analytical Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, IT or other related fields DUTIES: The ideal candidate will work with a team of Sr Architects and Engineers to provide oversite and input on current IT network environments to ensure Governance and Security standards are met and up to date The ideal candidate will review, refine, and maintain enterprise network systems as well as provide solution architecture and development to ensure compliance with DoDAF, DoD IEA, and other federal standards to all systems Produce architectures that document systems, capabilities, security boundaries, and transition plans to reduce technical debt and improve mission outcomes Apply Secure-by-Design and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to ensure interoperability, scalability, and compliance with DoD/Federal policy Support review boards, prepare briefing packages, adjudicate stakeholder comments, and ensure alignment with governance processes Ensure architectures support enterprise IT services, lifecycle replacement planning, and technical refresh baselines Conduct reviews to identify gaps, risks, redundancies, and opportunities for consolidation Recommend modernization strategies such as hybrid cloud migration, AI/ML integration, and automation of architecture processes Provide white papers, technical briefs, and recommendations to leadership to inform investment and strategic planning decisions Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
