CTL Engineering is hiring for Inspectors | Roadway Monitors for VDOT projects and support where you will play a key role in all aspects of interstate maintenance, inspection and testing services.

You will use experience while learning new skills to assist clients through our cross-functional team dynamic and company culture.

Highlights:

  • The region/territory for this role is the Richmond district.
  • Schedule:
    • This Full-time role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays & be on-call and respond to after-hour emergencies.
  • This position works independently on broad projects under direction of a Dept. Manager.
  • A company take-home vehicle (AVL-equipped) will be provided.
  • VDOT project experience is a strong plus.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with:
    • Inspection services (roadway, bridge) and/or Roadway Monitoring
    • Transportation maintenance projects
      • Related fields
  • Knowledge of work zone safety, erosion, sediment control.
  • Experience ensuring compliance of contract standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of VDOT policies as they relate to quality workmanship and materials in transportation maintenance projects.
  • Inspect for compliance with state specifications, plans and/or proposals on roadway and bridge projects.
  • Prepare and maintain project records and reports in a timely manner.
  • Notify the Contractor or the Project Engineer about non-conforming work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record.
