What role will you play?

Serve as member of Macquarie Capital (MacCap) Legal Entity Control team with focus on completing activities as part of legal entity life cycle and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial and regulatory reporting submissions. Specific duties: preparing and reviewing IFRS-based financial statements; perform regular compliance activities in connection with monthly financial review of entity balances, impairment review, and financial report preparation for board meetings; preparing and reviewing balance sheet commentaries, legal entity recapitalizations and funding for transactions, and cash settlements of inter-company balances and managing FX exposure and reviewing journals for hedging; reviewing financial performance of entity on regular basis and presenting to senior leaders in finance and tax team; ensuring reconciliation and attestation of account balances; assisting tax teams with preparation of tax returns; reviewing and improving processes, controls, and systems that impact financial information related to legal entities; identify and resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors; and undertake and deliver projects, improvement initiatives, and standardization approaches.



What you offer

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics) and 5 years of experience in job offered or 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing within financial services
  • Prior experience must include 3 years preparing and reviewing IFRS-based financial statements
  • 3 years performing regular compliance activities in connection with monthly financial review of entity balances and impairment review
  • 3 years preparing and reviewing balance sheet commentaries, legal entity recapitalizations and funding for transactions, and cash settlements of inter-company balances
  • 3 years ensuring reconciliation and attestation of account balances
  • 3 years identifying and resolving issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors
  • Must hold Certified Public Accountant, Certified Chartered Accountant, or Chartered Accountant designation.
Salary range for this position: $127,000 to $172,000/Year. Within this salary range the base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
