Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Document Control Coordinator to join our EPC Project in the nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho

The anticipated assignment duration is ASAP - Sept 2026

Our Document Control Coordinator provides guidance and the supervision required to manage project documents, both internal and external on ePC proposals and projects across all D&Z market sectors. Uses defined processes and procedures, consistency in execution and Continuous Improvement Program across proposals and projects. Contributes to the competitive environment and functions as the functional representative for developing and maintaining processes and procedures supporting the "D&Z Way."

The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:


  • Technical/Industry Expertise- Demonstrated background in Projects and/or Construction document management within the Power Industry; experience does not necessarily need to be with a contractor, although highly preferred; Strong knowledge and experience in project document management, preferably at an enterprise or multi-site level.
  • Projects & Construction Savvy- Action oriented; can be counted on to consistently exceed goals; bottom-line oriented; clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; pushes others for results and holds them accountable; sets business/account strategy and works through others to achieve results; maintains big-picture view of key projects and initiatives without getting lost in the details.
  • Business/Financial Acumen- Understands how the business works including drivers of cost and revenue; able to understand and work with key financial measurements to analyze the business; able to develop actions to correct financial performance and/or develop new business; knows the marketplace and understands how business strategies and tactics impact marketplace perception.
  • Builds Strategic Client Relationships- Develops and sustains effective business relationships with people, especially at senior levels (internally and externally) to create value and influence customer buying patterns and increase revenue and market share.
  • Communicates with Impact- Clearly and consistently gets information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates the ability to influence people and get them to take appropriate action.



What you need to bring to the table:

  • Experience working under an ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program
  • Associates degree or Relevant experience required; College degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant projects experience



What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible to manage the document management coordination team to successfully execute document management activities to support procurement and subcontracting during project development phase and project delivery on all assigned ePC projects. Ensure delivery of the project will meet or exceed financial, operational, quality, safety goals and customer retention for each market served.
  • Ensure effective technical and document control governance, procedures, and tools are established and maintained to support successful project delivery and operations. Evaluates site policies, operating procedures, instructions, and forms for format consistency.
  • Effectively partner with functional areas to achieve shared goals, resolve conflicts, and establish/promote best practices and process improvement. Assist Project Managers with managing the process for preparation, formatting and distribution of contract deliverables.
  • Conduct audits on compliance with applicable law, regulations and the company policies including the code of ethics and standard business conduct. Verify files are organized and consistent with naming conventions and project-specific filing structure and document control procedures.
  • Lead training on Document Control systems, practices, and processes and procedures as needed. Manage Document Platforms and admin user's access. Provide input and guide development of workflow processes, standards, and documentation. Lead and mentor document management coordinators for advanced career development.



In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $31,000 - $ 124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
