Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Safety & Environmental Specialist in Richmond, Virginia. The Safety and Environmental Specialist works closely with the EHS team to implement and coordinate and further the safety, health, and environmental program of all of Carter Machinery's locations and departments. Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years occupation safety and health experience. Experience leading others in achieving environmental, health, and safety program excellence on a company level. Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field preferred.
Requirements for the Safety & Environmental Specialist position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Safety & Environmental Specialist job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
