  • Summary/Primary Objective of Position:
    Under the supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services, the Coordinator of Nutrition Services Operations is responsible for assisting with department operations to ensure compliance with the USDA program guidelines.

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. Assist the Director with overseeing the daily kitchen operation of the Nutrition Services program and equipment throughout the District, including regularly visiting each building's kitchen to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures.
    2. Assist the Director of Nutrition Services with overseeing the Class III Cook Manager - Minnetonka High School A La Carte and Special Events Manager.
    3. Coordinate Food Truck operations and events at all District buildings.
    4. Assist with the recruitment, selection, hiring and training of Cook Helpers, Cooks and Cook Managers.
    5. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Foodservice Management or equivalent preparation related to the responsibilities of the position.
    2. Experience in a school district and/or foodservice desired.
    3. Certified Food Protection Manager's license required within 90 days of hire date.
    4. Membership in MSNA/School Nutrition Association.
    5. MSNA Level 4 certificate within 1 year of hire date.
    6. Evidence of excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
    7. Evidence of excellent human relation, communication and supervisory skills.
    8. Evidence of ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    9. Evidence of excellent organizational skills.
    10. Evidence of ability to communicate effectively (both in writing and verbally), and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, staff, parents and the general public to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
    11. Evidence of ability to work autonomously by anticipating, analyzing, and problem-solving various situations as they occur.
    12. Evidence of ability to perform duties under pressure, handle constant interruptions and adjust to changing priorities.

    Salary and Benefits:
    Minimum salary is $85,000 with a competitive benefits package.
    This position will be placed on an individual contract.
