General Description The Facility Traffic Flow Coordinator, is primarily responsible for monitoring traffic into and out of an asphalt plant/quarry site, serving as the first point of contact, upon facility entry. The individual will report to the Facility Manager, however will primarily work independently, based out of a control house/gated entrance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary, first point of contact, for those entering the asphalt/quarry site.
- Conduct verbal inquiries, with those seeking to enter the asphalt/quarry site, to determine legitimacy of entry.
- Provide verbal and/or written guidance to entrants, regarding traffic flow, check-in/check-out procedures, ticketing/payment process, etc.
- Verbally re-direct motorists, to appropriate travel route, where applicable.
- Coordinate with facility point of contact, regarding non-confirmed access requests, on access approval.
- Maintain visitor log(s), using provided record keeping system.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience This position typically is an entry-level job.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- A minimum of one year (1) of lot attendant experience, preferred, however willing to train.
Physical Demands The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a Facility Traffic Flow Coordinator, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Routinely work a shift of 8-10 hours/per day, including occasional nights and/or weekends
- Frequently walk and/or stand, for short periods of time, on various terrain, including sand, gravel, pavement and dirt.
- Intermittently sit/stand, throughout the workshift.
- Intermittently utilize stairs and/or ladders, using 3 points of contact, to access various working/walking platforms.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
- Continuous mental attention required, throughout scheduled work shift.
- Potential limited exposure to dust, dirt grease and noise; ability to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hardhat, fall protection and/or respirator, where applicable.
- Must be able to communicate and understand both orally and written/typed.
Work Environment The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that an Office Clerk encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work environment may periodically expose individual to various levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a plant; either engineering controls and/or personal protective equipment is required, to ensure exposure limit does not exceed OSHA specifications.
- Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Work may involve exposure to a variety of substances commonly found on asphalt and plant sites such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline and diesel fuel; however, no levels above OSHA Permissible exposure limit.
